Meeting Our Canine Guests
Every new guest begins with a carefully managed Meet & Greet. It is an opportunity for us to meet you, get to know your dog and understand what they need to feel comfortable here.
Introductions are calm and unhurried, allowing your dog to become familiar with us and their surroundings at their own pace. Where appropriate, this is followed by a short trial stay, giving us the opportunity to see how they settle and establish the routines that suit them best.

Life at The Dogs Residence is deliberately unhurried. Our small number of guests allows us to be present, attentive and responsive throughout the day and overnight.
Days include walks, enrichment, companionship and plenty of downtime, with the balance adapted to each dog's age, temperament and energy levels. Owners receive regular photographs and videos throughout their dog's stay.

Embark on the exciting journey of staying at The Dogs Residence. Booking a reservation is designed to ensure a seamless experience for both you and your dog, matching their needs with the perfect stay in our home.
All dogs must be registered with a UK veterinary practice and meet our current vaccination and parasite control requirements, which must remain valid for the duration of their stay.
A Meet & Greet must take place before a new dog can be considered for boarding or day care. We carefully consider temperament and compatibility when accepting new guests, helping us maintain a calm environment for everyone.
We welcome puppies and senior dogs, as well as dogs who may require additional attention or medication during their stay.
Your stay
What to bring along
You are welcome to bring your dog's bed, blankets, favourite toys, treats and any familiar items that help them settle. Please also provide any medication, supplements or other items required as part of their usual routine.
We have a selection of practical essentials available should something be forgotten. We do not use cages or pens.
Our resident dog has severe poultry allergies, so any treats we provide are carefully selected to be natural, single-protein and poultry free. Fruit and vegetable treats can also be offered with your permission.

For the wellbeing of all our guests, we carefully consider each dog's temperament and behaviour before accepting them into our small-group home environment.
We do not accept dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act, and we reserve the right to decline any dog whose behaviour may compromise the safety or wellbeing of our guests.
Male and female dogs must be neutered, with the exception of dogs under 12 months of age.
We also ask owners to let us know about any changes in their dog's health, medication or circumstances before a return visit.
At the end of your stay
When it is time to go home, we will update you on how your dog has been, including anything we've noticed about their routine, behaviour or preferences.
For longer stays, we also like to send our guests home with a small thank-you gift.
If a birthday happens to fall during their stay, we are always happy to make it a little special.
New dogs
New clients receive our Registration Pack, including our Terms & Conditions and the information required before their first stay.
For returning guests, we simply ask that you let us know about any changes to their health, medication, routine or care requirements since their previous visit.
Payment is due before the day of arrival.
